Believe it or not, at one point in time UB’s software was regarded among the worst in the online poker industry. Luckily, over the last few years UB has taken heed to some of the warnings issued by their member base and have made the necessary improvements to make UB a viable choice for online gaming once again. The lobby system still leaves some to be desired, but once you have chosen a table the experience immediately becomes much more enjoyable. Each table is shown in a 3D perspective, and gives a very lifelike interpretation of a real poker table. It also feels as if you are really sitting at a real table. The statistics are informative and very engaging, and UB’s software also sports a very adaptable buddy feature. As with any poker software, there are still a few bugs that need be sorted out before UB’s software can boast a perfect rating from us. First of all, on the big tables the pot lacks a numeric counter, making it slightly harder to gauge your next move without doing a little mental math beforehand.

UB Tournaments
UB is most popular for their tournaments, which offers the best tournament structure in terms of chips and blind levels. UB is a major satelite source for the World Poker Tour qualifiers as well as the World Series of Poker qualifiers and UB's own Aruba Classic held once annually. These tournaments tend to draw better players, and can make for some very stiff competition. Throughout the day tournaments are held with different sized buy-ins. These buy-ins range from $1 to $200, and generally have a very wide variety of player levels.

Luckily, there is always a wide variety of different tables that you can choose to play on, so sometimes you may have your best luck taking a look around at the different tables and finding one that suits your playing style. The buddy feature also makes it more convenient to find a table that is to your liking - you can even stalk a fish if you find one.
UB Support & Security
UB’s support is one of the best that I have ever encountered in my time playing poker online. Any support ticket that I have submitted has always been answered in less than 2 hours, and usually less than 1. None of the support that I have received has been in the form of ‘pre-canned’ or automated e-mail’s and I have always felt like I have the full attention of the person on the other end. Most of the support personnel have been courteous and informative. Unfortunately, like many opposing online poker rooms, UB only provides e-mail support, and phone support is not offered. This would be more worrisome if the support e-mail’s weren’t answered so quickly to begin with.

At one point UB had become sort of a joke among the online poker elite, but today they offer deposit bonuses and software that are rarely matched in online poker play.
